Growing up, going to school and working in Central New York have put me in touch with the local economy as well as what it means to be a part of Central New York.
Having worked in public accounting for over five years, for both a big four firm as well as regional firms, I have been exposed to companies ranging in size from the small sole proprietor to the very large, publicly traded corporation. These experiences have honed my business sense and given me both a broad depth of skills and knowledge that are absolutely instrumental to successful business operations. I have realized after being in the accounting industry for a few years that the small business owner seems to be left out in the cold. It seems that the only choices for the small business owner is to go to someone who has almost no accounting experience and cannot offer suggestions on how to improve their financial situation or go to a big firm that charges an arm and a leg for you to be their client. I feel that the small business owner has every right to have access to similar services at much more affordable prices and an accountant who will deal with you personally with whatever questions you have.
